Are You Registered to Vote?

To qualify for voter registration in the State of New York, you must meet certain criteria. Click the button below to learn more and to register to vote online or by mail.

Voting in New York

The Primary Election is set for June 24, 2025, with the 2025 New York City Council Election set for November 4, 2025.

You can check to see if you live in District 16 by looking up your sample ballot and poll site information. It’s listed under “District Information” after you submit your address.

Early Voting

Make It Easy and Vote Early!

New Yorkers can vote for several days leading up to Election Day at designated Early Voting sites from August 13th through August 21st.

Your polling site may have changed since you last voted, so make sure to verify the location beforehand.

Vote by Mail

Can't Make It On The Big Day?

To vote by mail, you can request an absentee ballot. All requests must be submitted by Monday, August 8th.

To ensure your vote is counted, the last day to postmark your absentee ballot or drop it off at a poll site is Election Day, August 23rd.
 

Note that if you request an absentee ballot and choose to vote at the polls during Early Voting or on Election Day, you will be given an affidavit ballot to fill out rather than a normal ballot; this is a change from previous election years.
